Dynamics CRM Online Backup Training
Let us suppose you wanted a Microsoft SQL server underlying CRM database copy for backup purposes and/or for importing into your on premises Dynamics CRM. Before, such as in Dynamics CRM 2016 online, you could send a support ticket to Microsoft, and they’d prepare an FTP download link for you. Also, because it was a SQL database of Dynamics CRM you could be able to import into your on-premise Dynamics CRM 2016 for instance. This is distinct from the backups you do through the Dynamics 365 Administration Center that just stay in the cloud. However, this is not supported anymore as of the newer releases of Dynamics 365 Customer Engagement (CRM), and actually this still is not supported as of July 19, 2018. The truth is, Microsoft does not officially support this SQL database FTP feature anymore. one reason being that there are lots of features that only exist in Dynamics 365 CRM (Customer Engagement) online version only. However, if the feature of SQL FTP transfer through Microsoft support ticket becomes available in future, Microsoft should notify you, and we’ll go over this and other questions like this of yours in our Dynamics CRM training courses!

What is the difference between Dynamics CRM Training and Dynamics 365 Training? The answer is that these are the same thing in modern times. These days, Dynamics CRM Training is more generally referred to as Dynamics 365 Training (even though Dynamics 365 also includes products formerly known as NAV, AX, and others as well, so sometimes it’s Dynamics 365 CRM Training). To be more precise, Dynamics 365 for Sales Training and Dynamics 365 for Customer Engagement Training could be both better analogs to the product that used to be called “Microsoft Dynamics CRM.” A more thorough answer, could also include that Dynamics CRM Training usually refers to CRM 2016, 2015, 2013, 2011 and so on – and usually on-premise. Dynamics 365 Training, on the other hand, refers to the brand new, cloud hosted Dynamics suite of products, including whatever is the lowest version currently supported online – Microsoft has moved to Dynamics 365 as opposed to CRM 2016 online, CRM 2013 online, and the like these days. Dynamics Edge offers training, consulting, support, licensing and more for all Microsoft Dynamics 365 and CRM products – on-premise (for any CRM or 365 CRM version) and online (for any CRM or 365 CRM version). Dynamics CRM Training when referring to the new Dynamics 365 versions that are hosted on the Microsoft cloud, are also sometimes called Dynamics 365 CRM training, or Dynamics 365 for Sales Training.
