We strongly recommend that you earn the Microsoft 365 Fundamentals badge first in order to optimize your chances of earning the Associate Modern Workplace badges.

There are four Associate Modern Workplace Role badges: the Microsoft 365 Modern Desktop Administrator Associate badge, the Microsoft 365 Messaging Administrator Associate badge, the Microsoft 365 Teamwork Administrator Associate badge, and the Microsoft 365 Security Administrator Associate Badge.

If you earn at least one (1) of these four (4) Modern Workplace Associate badges, you also open up a path to earn the Modern Workplace Expert badge!

Here are all the details on the four Associate Modern Workplace badges.

1. Microsoft 365 Modern Desktop Administrator Associate badge (Exams MD-100 and MD-101)

• Optionally requires Microsoft 365 Fundamentals badge (strongly recommended)
• You must pass Exam MD-100: Windows 10 which measures your ability to deploy Windows; manage devices and data; configure connectivity; and maintain Windows.
• In order to help you prepare for Exam MD-100 and help you on your way to earning the Microsoft 365 Modern Desktop Administrator Associate badge, you should take the following course: Dynamics Edge Course 10010 (MD-100) Windows 10
• You must also pass Exam MD-101: Managing Modern Desktops which measures your ability to deploy and update operating systems; manage policies and profiles; manage and protect devices; and manage apps and data.
• In order to help you prepare for Exam MD-101 and help you on your way to earning the Microsoft 365 Modern Desktop Administrator Associate badge, you should take the following course: Dynamics Edge Course 10011 (MD-101) Managing Modern Desktops
• Modern Desktop Administrators deploy, configure, secure, manage, and monitor devices and client applications in an enterprise environment. Earn this Microsoft 365 Windows 10 Modern Desktop Administrator Associate Badge to prove your worth as a potential Microsoft 365 Modern Desktop Administrator!

2. Microsoft 365 Messaging Administrator Associate badge (Exams MS-200 and MS-201)

• Optionally requires Microsoft 365 Fundamentals badge (strongly recommended)
• You must pass Exam MS-200: Planning and Configuring a Messaging Platform which measures your ability to manage modern messaging infrastructure; manage mail flow topology; and manage recipients and devices.
• In order to help you prepare for Exam MS-200 and help you on your way to earning the Microsoft 365 Messaging Administrator Associate badge, you should take the following course: Dynamics Edge Course 200200 (MS-200) Planning and Configuring a Messaging Platform
• You must also pass Exam MS-201: Implementing a Hybrid and Secure Messaging Platform which measures your ability to plan and implement a hybrid configuration and migration; secure the messaging environment; and manage organizational settings.

3. Microsoft 365 Teamwork Administrator Associate badge (Exams MS-300 and MS-301)
